ScoreVibe Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the ScoreVibe mobile application (“ScoreVibe”, the “App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information. ScoreVibe is developed and operated by the ScoreVibe Team (“we”). By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.
We have designed ScoreVibe to be privacy-first: the App does not require an account, does not track you, and stores your content only on your device.
1. Summary
- We do not collect, transmit, or sell your personal data.
- We do not use analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting services.
- All your music, scores, PDFs, images, scans, and settings are stored locally on your device only.
- There is no account, login, or cloud sync.
- Camera and microphone are processed live, on-device and are never recorded, stored, or transmitted by us.
2. Who We Are
Developer: ScoreVibe Team
Contact: support@scorevibeapp.com
Governing law / jurisdiction: Israel
3. Information We Do Not Collect
ScoreVibe does not collect personal information. Specifically, we do not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, device identifiers, or usage analytics, and we do not use cookies or tracking technologies. We do not maintain user accounts.
4. Content You Create and Store
Sheet music, PDFs, imported images, camera scans, annotations, set lists, and app settings that you add to ScoreVibe are stored locally on your device (including in the App’s on-device database and file storage). This content:
- Stays on your device.
- Is not uploaded to us or any third party.
- Is under your control — you can delete it at any time from within the App or by uninstalling the App.
5. Device Permissions
ScoreVibe requests certain Android permissions to provide specific features. These permissions enable on-device functionality only; the data they access is not collected, stored, or transmitted by us.
| Permission | Why it’s used |
|---|---|
| Camera | To scan sheet music and to power the optional camera-based page-turn (gesture) feature. |
| Photos / Media / Storage | To let you import sheet music, PDFs, and images from your device, and save files you create. |
| Microphone | For the tuner and metronome features (live pitch detection). |
| Bluetooth / Wi‑Fi / Nearby Devices | To connect to accessories such as a Bluetooth or Wi‑Fi page-turner foot pedal, and to discover and connect to nearby devices (e.g., for wireless display). |
| Location | Required by Android in order to scan for and connect to certain Bluetooth/Wi‑Fi accessories. The App does not use your location to track you, and does not collect or store location data. |
| Internet / Network State | To play embedded YouTube videos and to communicate with supported accessories. |
| Notifications | To show playback/media controls and related notifications. |
Camera and Face Detection (Page-Turn Gesture)
The optional page-turn feature uses on-device face/gesture detection (Google ML Kit) to let you turn pages hands-free. The camera feed is processed in real time, entirely on your device. No images, video, or facial data are recorded, saved, or transmitted by us.
Microphone (Tuner / Metronome)
Audio from the microphone is analyzed live on your device for pitch detection. Audio is not recorded, saved, or uploaded.
6. Third-Party Services
ScoreVibe integrates the YouTube player so you can watch related videos within the App. When you play a YouTube video, your interaction is subject to Google/YouTube’s own terms and privacy practices:
- Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- YouTube Terms of Service: https://www.youtube.com/t/terms
We do not share any of your personal data with YouTube; the connection is initiated only when you choose to play a video. We do not use any other third-party analytics, advertising, or data-collection services.
7. Android Backup
ScoreVibe supports Android’s standard backup mechanism. If you have enabled backup on your Android device, the operating system may back up certain app data to your own Google account (Google Drive) under Google’s control, not ours. You can manage or disable this in your device’s system backup settings. This backup is a function of your device and Google account, and we do not access it.
8. Data Sharing and Sale
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with anyone. Because we do not collect personal data, there is nothing for us to share.
9. Data Security
Your content resides on your own device and is protected by your device’s security measures (such as your screen lock and Android’s app sandboxing). We recommend keeping your device secured and your operating system up to date.
10. Data Retention and Deletion
We do not hold any of your data on our servers. All content remains on your device for as long as you keep it. You can delete content within the App at any time, or remove all App data by uninstalling ScoreVibe.
11. Children’s Privacy
ScoreVibe is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the EU/EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the App collects no personal data, no such information is gathered from users of any age.
12. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under data protection laws such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) — including rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. Because ScoreVibe does not collect or store any personal data about you on our systems, we hold no personal data to access, correct, delete, or port. You retain full control of the content stored on your device. If you have questions about your rights, contact us at support@scorevibeapp.com.
13. International Users
ScoreVibe is operated from Israel and is distributed via Google Play. As the App does not transmit personal data to us, no international transfer of your personal data to us occurs.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and post the new version at https://scorevibeapp.com/privacy. Material changes will be reflected on this page. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
